22 years, and much to celebrate!!

The 22ndAnnual, and final Library Roll Bicycle Tour happens Saturday, September 26!! Find details and downloadable registration form(sorry, checks only) by clicking on the tab above. Register early to reserve a specially designed long-sleeved t-shirt. Day-of registrations are fine, too, payable by cash, check, or credit card.

When the elementary school was in Fredericksburg, an important part of the 3rd grade curriculum was learning about Fredericksburg history. That unit culminated in the AMAZING RACE, an exciting one day event that took students all over town, completing activities and exploring in a fun an tangible way.

In an effort to continue this tradition, the Fredericksburg Community Library has re-worked that event into a month-long letterboxing adventure that individuals, families, & friends of all ages can do on their own time. Stop in the library for instructions and location start sheet.

The letterboxing portion of the AMAZING RACE will only be available in August, but the historical materials, including a Walking Tour of Fredericksburg will continue to be offered as part of our new ongoing Passport to Reading program!!

Summer Reading 2026: ROOTED, READING, REACHING OUT!!!

Join us for Summer Reading Kickoff at ART-IN-THE-Park on June 6, 10-12, with amazing art activities planned by friends of Simply Hand Made .

Pick up a Summer Reading Packet & start keeping track of minutes, then bring to the library for prizes!

Activity Days at the Fredericksburg Park start Wednesday, June 17, 10-11, followed by CHESS CLUB from 11-12. Activity Days continue for 6 Wednesdays, ending on July 22. Lots of opportunities to connect with your community through the summer!!

Needlefelting classes, Wonder Bus trip, Summer Reading, oh my!!

The Wonder Bus will be traveling to Mansfield on May 23, 2026, visiting the Ohio Bird Sanctuary, Kingwood Center, and Malabar Farm. Stop in to pick up a brochure and registration form!!

Let’s be honest, we at the library are missing the elementary school which stood a block away. We have great memories of all the students and classes who, for one reason or another, came to the library during the school hours. With the closing of the school and students now going to the new school campus, we were challenged to think of new ways to promote literacy, love for reading, and life-long learning, to think about what possibilities and opportunities maybe we hadn’t seen before. With the generous help of our township trustees and volunteers, we will soon open the Fredericksburg StoryWalk ® at the Fredericksburg Community Park, as well as the Bear Den Community Trail (formerly school Bear Den Land Lab) adjacent to the ball diamond. Our hope is that these will become places for families to enjoy together, spending time in beautiful surroundings, enjoying the sharing of a good story.
