When the elementary school was in Fredericksburg, an important part of the 3rd grade curriculum was learning about Fredericksburg history. That unit culminated in the AMAZING RACE, an exciting one day event that took students all over town, completing activities and exploring in a fun an tangible way.
In an effort to continue this tradition, the Fredericksburg Community Library has re-worked that event into a month-long letterboxing adventure that individuals, families, & friends of all ages can do on their own time. Stop in the library for instructions and location start sheet.
The letterboxing portion of the AMAZING RACE will only be available in August, but the historical materials, including a Walking Tour of Fredericksburg will continue to be offered as part of our new ongoing Passport to Reading program!!
